A day of mourning at Magda-Lavelle

Dear friends,

Our company has suffered a tragic loss during the past week, with the death of two valued employees involved in our deep sea exploration program. Words cannot express the sorrow that we share for the loss of these two brave pioneers in marine science, and our hearts and thoughts go out to the families of these individuals. They are part of our family too.

Information is still coming in, as to the cause of the accident, but we will not rest until we have taken the necessary steps to ensure that such a tragedy does not happen again. I know that there are many questions, and I will endeavor to provide answers as soon as they are available. For now, it is our first duty at Magda-Lavelle to re-visit our safety measures, and protect those who have placed their trust in us.

With that in mind, the Magda-Lavelle arctic research facility will be closing its doors until a thorough investigation has been conducted by a third party health and safety commission. Our employees will continue to receive payment and benefits, while the facility is closed for inspection. Your safety is paramount to us. Thank you to all of our supporters, employee and client alike, for standing by us through this tragic event. We would also thank the media for allowing some peace to the families affected. They have been through a lot. Any questions can be directed to our media relations department via email or telephone.

Magda-Lavelle is committed to a safe work environment, and creating a cleaner, healthier planet for everyone. For that reason, the arctic marine mission has been ongoing for the past 8 years, providing much insight into medical and environmental possibilities for a better future.

The arctic research facility has given us a new perspective on ozone decay, and oxygen harvesting. The marine mammal project offers new methods of fighting disease, and in the last year alone, more than one hundred new species have been discovered using the Magda-Lavelle deep sea probe.

At Magda-Lavelle, it is our hope that we can leave a better planet – a better place to live – for the generations that come after us.
